• Retired Destroyer About To Become Artificial Reef

  It now appears a target window, if not a firm date, has been established for the sinking of a retired U.S. Navy destroyer as part of a three-state artificial reef system just 30 miles from the Ocean City Inlet.

  Save Halkett Bay, a group fighting to keep a destroyer from being sunk in the area, could essentially shut down the Artificial Reef Society of B.C. (ARSBC), according to ARSBC president Howard Robins.
